RTOS Firmware Engineer
Overview
Nordic Semiconductor is seeking an RTOS Firmware Engineer to join the Oslo team building the firmware stack for nRF52, nRF53, and nRF91 series SoCs. You will develop and maintain wireless protocol implementations on FreeRTOS and Zephyr, working directly on the silicon that powers millions of IoT devices worldwide.
Your work will include developing BLE Link Layer and Host stack components, contributing to the Zephyr RTOS upstream, writing low-level HAL drivers for ARM Cortex-M peripherals, and optimizing power consumption for battery-constrained applications. You will collaborate with the architecture team to define next-generation wireless features and chip capabilities.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of embedded firmware experience with strong C proficiency, hands-on RTOS development, and familiarity with wireless protocols. Experience with Zephyr, Bluetooth LE, or Zigbee is highly valued. Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M architecture and low-power design patterns is a strong plus.
