Junior Firmware Engineer
Overview
Garmin’s Wearables team in Olathe, Kansas is hiring a Junior Firmware Engineer to help build the software that powers our award-winning outdoor and fitness devices. You will write production firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers running FreeRTOS, implementing features for GPS navigation, Bluetooth LE connectivity, and sensor data processing.
You will collaborate closely with a small, supportive team of senior engineers who will mentor you through code reviews, paired debugging, and hands-on hardware bring-up. This is an excellent opportunity to build deep expertise in low-level embedded development while shipping products used by millions of outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.
We are looking for recent graduates or engineers with 0–2 years of experience who are proficient in C, have tinkered with microcontrollers, and are eager to learn embedded systems best practices in a structured environment. A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
