IoT Firmware Engineer

Apple’s IoT Firmware team is seeking a senior embedded engineer to architect and implement low-power wireless firmware for the next generation of wearable and smart home products. You will own the full firmware stack from bootloader through application layer, working on custom Arm Cortex-M SoCs with FreeRTOS.

Collaborate closely with silicon design, hardware engineering, and product teams to deliver firmware that meets aggressive power, performance, and reliability targets. You will optimize BLE and WiFi stacks for ultra-low-power operation and drive the bring-up of new silicon from tape-out to production.

This role offers the opportunity to ship firmware at unprecedented scale — your code will run on tens of millions of devices worldwide. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to Apple’s internal firmware architecture standards.
