Firmware Test Engineer
Overview
Analog Devices is looking for a Firmware Test Engineer to join the Precision Converters group in Boston. You will develop automated hardware-in-the-loop test systems that validate firmware running on ARM Cortex-M based mixed-signal ICs. Your work ensures that ADI’s precision ADC and sensor products meet rigorous quality standards before reaching customers in industrial, automotive, and healthcare markets.
The role combines embedded C firmware development with Python-based test automation. You will write test harnesses that exercise I2C and SPI communication interfaces, validate register maps, measure power consumption profiles, and characterize analog performance parameters. You will work alongside design engineers to define test specifications and build continuous integration pipelines for firmware releases.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in embedded systems testing or firmware development. Strong C and Python skills are required, along with hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools. Familiarity with CI/CD systems and semiconductor test methodologies is a plus.
